modern is not cold!

Many   have the idea that modern is the same thing as with uninviting . This design speaks against that! It is a space that “exemplifies the creative use of dark and bold colors combined with stainless steel, neutral materials and dramatic lighting.” I like so much about this design ! I specially  love the wall treatment. It gives some great texture to the room that really warms up the cold stainless steel. I think the tone that it brings in is quite warm and inviting in a place that could be cold . I also really like the bursts of red and yellow throughout. I think it is crucial to bring in some color in a cohesive way in a kitchen like this. They are also good colors to use in kitchen. You want to use colors that induce hunger in this room as opposed to cool colors that promote relaxation such as blues and other cool colors. Another thing about this room is that it is very bright. Even though there are some darker colors providing some contrast, this room doesn’t strike you as dark space. The designer did a great job keeping it spacious and airy. This kitchen is also a very practical and useable space. There are several different seating areas that make it a great kitchen for entertaining in. There is also plenty of counter space which is very important for food prep. I don’t think there is much that I would change about this space. Perhaps i would put some warmer hardware on the cabinets to add a little more character to the room. Overall, I think the designer did a great job, though. They proved that modern is not necessarily equal to cold.
